0 username
np, they just export to bmp so you will have to do your own compression there
0 Dross
Is Tmpeg the same is tmpgEnc? If so i already have TmpgEnc 2.5. I don't see any GIF options, only jpeg.

Making actual GIFS, I'd need a gif maker I suppose. I have little experience, but I did make one once, from PS scratch though (not from mpeg). 0 correllium
I found this on Google, Blaze MediaConvert and their site says "Video (AVI or MPEG) to GIF" so give that a try, though it is shareware.
0 username
yeah tmpgEnc, sorry about that, tmpgEnc my be too tough then becasue you have to go in to advance settings to get the right frame you want, go with virtual dub

Sweet! I'll have to try this. TMgEnc is working good Username, but I can't figure out how to start at a specific part. I had it working, but it grabbed 400 images within the first 5 seconds of the movie. I only want a small section, not thousands of jpegs or bitmaps. 0 sailgreg
If you have Flash 5 or MX, you can import the video and then save it as a gif :)

I am looking around, but I don't see it. Do you enter a time somewhere? I would like to use this, instead of downloading anything else. Blaze media is 12 megs and I'm on Dialup. EECK! LOL I guess I can try Virtual Dub if I can't figure out TMPGenc

Obviously I'll have to cut this down a bit. Thanks :D I'll reply with my creation if I can figure out how to make a decent gif.
0 Dross
Trying Gif Movie Gear for the GIF. I suppose I could wait it out and get Blaze media Pro and directly go from mpeg to gif as well. Anyway, I am really impressed from the quick and useful replies here.
