0 Quazzi
I used to hear a "whirring" sound and little popping noises when I played a DVD using PowerDVD or the ATI player that came with my Radeon card. It was really noticable because I rand the sound into my home amplifier :ermm: . I discovered that all I had to do was mute the CD audio control on the volume controls for my soundblaster soundcard. They can be accessed from the control panel. (I also muted everything except the main volume, wave out, and midi out because I never use the modem speaker, auxiliary, or line in). Hope this helps.
