thingsforjason
if it's a SCSI drive, i don't see why not. :) but it doesn't sound like your WD is a SCSI drive.... :D

thingsforjason
sure, if you got another drive and a raid card you could set that up, but that doesn't turn your drives into SCSI :)
Geronimo
there is more involved then just getting to two similiar hard drives and a SCSI controller. you need to SCSI hard drives and a SCSI controller. However for a home user, you would not see a difference in performance at all.
GUNNER
Well I run all scsi with no problems. I have an Adaptec 2916n controller two segate 18 gig one seagate 9 gig and one wd 4 gig. One tosh cd one tosh dvd one ultra plex one plex 12/4/32 and a yama 4/4/16 and one hp 4c. And yes you do notice a performance increase. If you want raid your sys then you should have all drives the same size manufacture does not matter.

GUNNER
Basically a Raid stripes (2 or more) the drives as one. If you have 2 40 gigs it will regester one 80gig. I used to have a comp. with a Perk 5 Raid controler with 4 36 gig drives and it saw the drives as one, sold it short on cash. Raid is good for saving your data if drive crashes just pull it out and stick in a new one with no data loss.
