I Quit Smoking!

Recommended Posts

Well...Two days ago I stopped smoking. I bought "Commit" lozenges and I'm following their online program to assist me. The recommend using at least 9 lozenges per day, and I've only had the urge to use 2 the past two days. It's going great! I've tried quitting twice in the past few years and never made it more than about 6 hours  , but I've gone two days with NO signs of faltering. Hopefully I'll be able to keep it up!

I've been wanting to stop for a long time, because it's so unhealthy and I HATE the smell of smoke on my clothing/hands.

Good job! I'm off them almost 2 years now, and i used to smoke at least 40 a day. It was a couple of months before the total ban on smoking in the workplace here in Ireland, which helped massively.

i quit 2 1/2 yrs ago and i enjoyed smoking but so expensive.

i am older and i smoked for 40 yrs so it wasnt easy as i bounced off the

walls for 2 yrs but i will never go back to them.

in 5 yrs the cigs will buy me a new car.

every 3 months i go to Mexico for a week & think of the puter upgrades

you will be able to do.

the funny part for me is now when i am around cig smoke it chokes me and i cant breathe.

i hope these words are encouraging for you.

i used the patched by the way & fierce determination.

good luck partner.

Congrats (Y) I've been cigg-free since the summer of 2004 :)

I smoked about 25-40 ciggs per day at my worst (pack to pack-and-a-half).

I'm so glad I have been able to rid ciggs of my life.

I'm still smoking pot, though... and that doesn't bother me at all :)

WOW! Must have been hard to quit that many packs if you already started doing it. ;)

Smoke free since...well just over a year.

Bit of pot when I'm feeling low, but that's normally just with mates and our small collection of bongs and toots.

It's good stuff man, don't give in.
