I dont adblock neowin and i click ads whenever i remember, otherwise i wouldnt be typing because they'd probably lose a lot of revenue and not be able to afford the servers and stuff they are hosting for us for free

In the long term overclicking to help a site is going to do damage.

Let's say if the company normally get 1000 banner impressions, and 10 clicks, they only manage to get 1 sale from that can afford pay out ?10 to the banner providers (google) for those 10 clicks.

If they get those same 1000 impressions, and then get 100 "fake" clicks, they are still only going to get 1 sale because the people overclicking the ad aren't "customers".

The ad providers can't possibly now afford to pay out ?100 to google as they only got 1 sale. Therefore, they are going to reduce their fees or stop their contract with google as they can't afford the advertising.

Down the road, Google will pay less out to sites like Neowin.

Fake clicks don't help anyone.

Never, ever ever. Not even by accident. Even if it seemed interesting (I know, in what universe might that happen?!) I wouldn't, since I don't want to propagate such HORRIBLE advertisemnet methods :>

I never see or click ads. Ad Muncher is my co-pilot & life is good.

Revenue doesn't enter into it as I have never clicked an internet ad in the 13 years I've been on the internet. I doubt I will in the future.

Revenue doesn't enter into it. Advertising companies do not pay per view any more. Fewer companies are even paying per click. A growing number won't pay on a click unless it leads to a sale.

I don't buy from banners, ads, or email spam so nobody is missing out on any revenue from me by me blocking ads.
