Assuming you play on easy, only play through once and ignore multiplayer :D Quake IV is just the mix of old school goodness and current day eye candy I have been jonesing for lately :ninja:

New camera came today:

Since the last time I posted in one of these threads I've gotten a new monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 915N), a new mousepad (fUnc sUrface 1030), and moved my case onto the desk. The optical drives are new as well.

Inside:

Dusty, I know (Pretty cool how the camera caught it like that, though. The computer's actually on.). The red card is my relatively new ATI Radeon x800 XL (AGP), and the green one is my Hauppuage WinTV-PVR-500MCE.

Im wondering why you got an EDTV (480i) when xbox360 outputs to 720p and 1080i and DVDs run at 1080i

your assumption is incorrect. i didn't play on easy, and to be honest the multiplayer game does not cut it for me, its CS all the way for me.

I didn't make any assumption regarding how you played the game, I simply stated that playing at higher difficulty, MULTIPLE TIMES and playing online extended it well beyond 20 hours. Oh well, enough off topic, I enjoy QIVs multiplayer for now...

EDTV is 480p. i didnt want to shell out the extra cash for an HD 42" display (1024x768 rectangular pixels), and i sure as hell didnt have the $1500+ for a 50" true 720p display.

Movies are 720x480p so it only scales it to 852x480, meaning movies look as sharp as possible, i can run 1164x768 interlaced and from 6 feet away halflife 2 looks gorgeous. The Warriors on xbox is 720p, and it looks way better than it does in 480p as well.
