1 or 2 months. Apparently some crappy ass drivers in Canon's latest camera software update caused headaches for me by forcing me through purgatory - hunting down program by program looking for the culprit. I just gave up and reformatted/reloaded XP twice before finding out what caused all of this.

BTW: ^ that comment wasn't necessary.

Original Install Date: 10/12/2005, 5:09:30PM

If you're not sure of the exact date of your installation, you can always find out by opening Command Prompt and typing systeminfo ... if you didn't already know ;)

I wish I would have seen this thread a week ago. My longest was July 12, 2003 to October 20, 2005. That's 2 and 1/4 years. That's on my main computer. My other computers are generally about a year.

About 2 years now. Not a single bluescreen, no slowdowns, nada, as good as new, I guess there is something to say for maintenance.

And I use this box about 15 hrs a day, to do all kinds of stuff, so it's not just sitting there doing nothing.

Agreed. People are too trigger happy. Spend some time trying to fix the problem instead of deleting it.
