Lee G. Veteran Posted November 6, 2005 Veteran Share Posted November 6, 2005 I once Windows 98 installed for 6.5 years :/ I've had Windows XP installed on one machine for 2 years. On average though, I install every 6-12 months. My current install was installed on 10/21/2005 (recently).
The Jorge
Last installed XP in February of this year.
Borbus
I reckon my current install is about 18 months old. That's the longest i've ever had one installation. I really can't be bothered with regular reinstalls any more and it doesn't seem like its getting too slow.

Emile
5 months. My average reistall is about every 6 months. I think it's going to be different this time. I used to install everything in one huge bunch. But now I'm installing things when I find that I need them. I've only installed about 40% of all the software that I own and things are going great. :)
PHiZZy
Probably about 9 months. Actually, ive been meaning to reinstall for about 4months, just always seem to have things on the go, and never enough time :/

naap51stang
Well, mine is 24 hours old  one of my raid drives died sunday evening after 2 1/2 years. Beats me....everything was kicking along fine, then everything all of a sudden just SLOWED down and it froze up. When I rebooted, the raid screen said drive (1) was "abnormal". I tried to fix it but the drive just flat out died. Oh well....I probably needed to reinstall everything. After 2+ years, I can hazard to guess how much crap was in/uninstalled Ya know, there is something to be said for a FRESH install of XP :woot: :alien:
