Bling3k12
I bought some PC133 RAM from Circuit City today for my Dell laptop. It says it's backwards compatible, and my two other previous PNY memory upgrades for my desktop worked fine, so I thought this would be a piece of cake. I installed the RAM, it said Memory Decrease! So I switched them around, and it said Memory Increase. So far so good... Windows 2000 starts up and crashes... motherboard is not ACPI compliant, i should upgrade the BIOS... Went to Dell.com, got the latest drivers, they were the same as the current ones... Dell installed new ones when we sent it in for repairs. Now I'm stuck... It works fine with the two original 64MB chips... (both PC-100) and the only kind they sell at the store is PC-133... I need help ASAP... thanks!
