I used to do like 200 a day + 200 situps.  Now I just play with myself and pretend it's about the same.

how can people do less than 10? I think a little less time on neowin, and a little more physical labour is needed. I can usually do more than 65 in a row (I know, not great, but I'm slowly improving)

assuming these numbers are all true, its very very impressive.

i attend a military college, and i'm pretty sure the "passing" rate for a PT (physical training) test is in the 40s.

anyone wanna enlist? :p

most of you guys saying more than 40 are such liars. 40 in 2 minutes is the marine standard. You're telling me that all the geeks on neowin aged like 15+ are marine buff dudes ? I dont' think so.

Well thats really not very hard. maybe 40 in 2 minutes is the minimum required for enlistment.

30 in 30 seconds is about my rate. Can do around 75 before I seriously slooow down! Have yet to hit 100 in 2 minutes though..

EDIT: Ok, closed-fisted pushups are equally simplistic as standard ones IMO, fingertip ones are pretty rough, but for some reason I can't even do a single one-handed one! It's not like i'm too weak, I just cant seem to balance myself and "tip over" every time I try.

Oh ffs, is everyone here a rambo?!!?

I honestly anticipated these results! pfftt...I doubt people even know what pushups are!

Anyway. I can do roughly 30 and I go to the gym 3-5 times a week+I used to play handball ever since I was seven (Quit at 15)

Not sure of my limit, but it's over 100...I don't really get tired doing them

100+.....pfftt...and I can go 10 hours straight having sex...and I don't get tirerd!!!!

2332 with only 1 arm

3000 w/o arms

LMFAO!!!!

Oh NOW I GET IT....Maybe not everyone here is lying....maybe you don't even know how to perform a pushup correctly....your chest must be brought as close as possible to the ground before you pushup again kiddies!

i honestly doubt everyone here is doing a proper pushup. (ie; breaking the plane) if you know what that means, you're probably doing it right.

if not, you're half assing it, and it doesnt' count.

Minimum, sure. I am not convinced that the neowin clientele can meet the marine minumum, since this is a geek forum.

Anyway, toastyone is going to show us a video of his pushups later, so hopefully we'll see the form is good. Alot of what you guys think are decent pushups are wimpy gym class ones ! I'm talking nose to the floor, each and every time...

When i was in High School and lifting and playing American Football, I could easily do 60 (correct form arms tight) and realistically get to the 80 area before i would have to take a break or outright stop. For that stupid Presidents Physical Fitness award i asked how many did i need to pass and they said 50 in two minutes so i did 51 and stopped and the teacher got PO'd. I could only ever do 1 pull up though. Now 10 years and some weight later i can probably only do 20, and i would be winded and soar after that.
