Slouch
Does anyone else have one? I just got mine on Monday. I had an iPAQ 3635 with an extended warranty from Best Buy. I took the iPAQ back and got it replaced with the Toshiba e740. So far I like it a lot. It's so much slimmer than the iPAQ and you don't need a sleeve to add a CF card. I'll be buying a wireless router soon to take advantage of the built in Wi-Fi. I'm curious to know if anyone else has one and what their thoughts on it are. dead_smed
I curently have the Toshiba e540 with a symbol wireless CF card, Toshiba have been making some good Pocket PC's but it would have been nice to wait for the 400mhz X-Scale CPU! Can you tell the difference in speed? I have problems when streaming realplayer content to mine and i guessing a faster CPU fixes the problem!! Slouch
Actually, I can't tell much of a difference in speed. With some things it's a bit faster, but not by much. If and when MS optimizes the next OS for XScale, it should rock. But until then, we'll just have to wait and see. I really like the home button. It's like a built in task manager. So far the only problem I am having is that it drops the connection with active sync. It's a known problem, so hopefully Toshiba will address it soon. Slouch
Thanks for the link. That's certainly new. I hope it works. Time will tell. I did remap the record button. If you take it out of the case, you almost always hit that button. A slight annoyance, but easily resolved.
