sphere
Ok, here is my situation: - I have Photoshop 6 and Fireworks MX installed - My main image formats have changed to open with Fireworks by default. - I have reinstalled Photoshop to make the images default to that, but it doesn't work - Whenever I try to change which program I open an image in, Photoshop isn't on the list. - When I click browse for an application, I select Photoshop, but then it doesn't appear on the list. It's like Fireworks has taken over my images, and I can't get them back to open with Photoshop. What is the deal?
0 BroChaos Veteran Posted July 25, 2002 Veteran Share Posted July 25, 2002 i'm not at home, so i can't check this, but i know fireworks hasn't caused any problems for me. i'd first go in fireworks, and if you can, uncheck any extensions that you don't want it to open. you don't have to reinstall PS for it to regain control, just go to the preferences, and select the ones you want. do you check "always use this program to open this file type"? 0 BroChaos Veteran Posted July 25, 2002 Veteran Share Posted July 25, 2002 hmm, ok, didn't realize that, like i said i'm at work and couldn't actually try it out. you would think if you gave control back to PS it would stay... PS has it in it's options, right?
