leachus2002
I have recently upgraded my PC, and I have found that I have got 2 unknown devices that not even Windows Xp can pick up. I need these devices as they control my Audio and Visual, but I do not know what models these peices are. I have tried PcPitstop and Sandra 2002, and they are unable to pick them either......does anyone have any other suggestions on programs or sites that I could visit to find out what these devices are? Many Thanks :)

CloudEngineer
what is the mobo's brand and model?
mAcOdIn Veteran Posted July 26, 2002 Veteran Share Posted July 26, 2002 Open up the case and find a model number and brand. Also look on the chips on the mobo and see if any of them have a name.

CloudEngineer
it wouldn't hurt doing a bios update either Latest for the mobo is Version 1.3 -Fixed Athlon XP 1700+ misdisplay issue -Fixed system can't installed onboard VGA driver under WinXP when PCI VGA installed and init display first set to PCI slot edit: thats if the vga driver still doesn't install http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/bios...80&NAME=MS-6390
manroweb
The Via 4 in 1 Drivers on MSI page are now quite old. If that sorts your problem then great leave it at that. If you still have problems, try http://www.viahardware.com/download/index.shtm#4in1 Install one of the newer versions. (Id stay away from the beta versions though) ;)
