big_rich
Hi, A friend of mine has has a cable connection to the internet and at the moment they have a wired connection to the cable modem. Problem is, they don't like having wires running everywhere! They happened to mention they have a wireless ADSL Modem Router from when they lived elsewhere, so i was just wondering if there was any way that that could be used to share the connection wirelessly? Could the modem part be disabled? If so, how? It's a bit of a long-shot and they'll probably have to buy a wireless router, but just thought i'd ask. Cheers, Rich
+BudMan MVC Posted November 21, 2005 MVC Share Posted November 21, 2005 http://www.dslwebserver.com/ How to Use a Wireless Router as a Wireless Access Point Very simple - in a nutshell turn off dhcp, make sure its lan IP address does not conflict and your good to go.
