Had similar trouble with a system i recently built for a colleague. It refused to run at 133 mhz FSB until i removed a certain jumper from the mainboard. After that it ran fine. I was unable to locate it because i was given the wrong manual with the board. In the end i just had to make an educated guess;)

Well, if it helps at all it will likely be located near your ram slots.

It could be a problem for your vid card, but i wouldnt say it is related to your FSB problem, no.

You could not find any jumpers on your board.? Nothing pertaining to FSb in the manual?

nope

is a dip to set fsb to either 100 or 133

works at 100, but not 133

also another set of dips to set the multiplier

for the 2000+ it needs to be at 133*12.5 right?

Still a no go huh? Ok if you have 2 sticks of ram put one in every other slot, like slots 0 and 2, or 1 and 3. If you have 1 stick try moving it around. If it still doesn't work turn down some of your memory settings. The lower number is actually faster in memories case so turn cas up one and then go down the line turning one up at a time. You don't wan't to turn them all up to the slowest cause you'll lose alot of speed, so I'd reboot after each single change.

Yeah so have you tried moving the stick It doesn't have to be in the first DIMM. Also were the others you tried the same brand?

It's not your ram. I am still certain there is something you need to switch on your mainboard. A jumper, or dip switch. Have you read through the manual carefully? Visited the manufacturers website? Checked for the latest BIOS revision?

i have read the manual carefully twice and read the one on the net once as well

i have the latest bios

and i have it set like the manual says

but when i set the Sw1 switch to 133, its there where it wont POST

You need a BIOS update, if its not running the 2000+ at 133 its because it doesnt support the 2000+, and hence runs it at a processor speed that it does support. Upgrade to the latest BIOS from Gigabyte's site and then whack the FSB to 133, should run fine.

Yeah so have you tried moving the stick It doesn't have to be in the first DIMM

Unless Gigabyte have done something special, this is incorrect, every mobo needs to have the RAM seated starting from the correct slot, then working upwards.

Not true, my k7s5a always wanted it in the second for some reason, maybe thats true for via chipsets but can't hurt to try.

I had a similar problem with my XP1500+ and a MSI board.

After I correctly set all my memory settings (such as CAS) then the CPU did the 133 (and higher) :-)

maybe this could set u on the right way
