Kodak Announces Availability of Evaluation Kit For Active-Matrix OLED Display BOSTON, May 20 - Eastman Kodak Company announced the availability of evaluation kits for active matrix organic light emitting diode (OLED) displays, another milestone in the company's effort to bring brighter, thinner and sharper displays to the consumer electronics industry. The first evaluation kit of its kind, the Kodak display AM550L will give manufacturers their first opportunity to design a new generation of devices that take advantage of active-matrix OLED's bright, crisp image quality, unlimited viewing angle, thin profile and low power consumption. The kit includes an AM500L panel, an interface board, software drivers, cables and instructions for use. It will be available in July. The $5200 price for the kit includes the Kodak AM550L, a landscape-oriented, 5.48-cm (2.16-inch) diagonal, full-color active-matrix OLED panel. These displays are being premiered this week at the Society for Information Display trade show in Boston. full press release: http://www.kodak.com/US/en/corp/display/index.jhtml
