revvo
**** no. When were they last popular? in the 80's? I don't dig fashion that comes back, especially when it's not my style.
Baptist
i have 1 pair, but it looks totally different, not the normal Allstar type this 1 :)
cdokakis
I have about five pairs, all aprox. half to a year old. I love them, they comfortable, you can do anything in them (from going to the mall to hiking) oh and they look really cool. And for the one who said they were so '1988', i wouldnt know about that, I was born a year and a half earlier.. ;)
Jaded
Yea I do, and they are for the most part very comfortable. The only thing you have to look out for is that they dont handle cold very well. So if you're standing on a concreate floor, better have some thick socks. Objexxx
Nope, not my style... they look VERY uncomfortable as well. All flat on the ground, ouch
James
All of the Emos grabbed them and started wearing them like they do mascara, hence why I don't wear them :p.

Mister Lamar
wore them back in the 80's when I had no choice, cause mom or dad paid for it and they were cheap, refuse to wear a pair of them now Edited November 27, 2005 by Mister Lamar
Pyroteknikz
I was planning on getting some. A very different colour than the traditional black and white. I want a pattern on them. Maybe text. But to the point. No I dont have them.
y0sh
I don't own one and probably never will. The reason is that all the emo/punk/goth/"scene" type groups wear them. The same people who claim to have a fashion sense AND individuality, yet all look like the same circus clown. Doesn't make sense to me to link myself to them. The 'scene' is what I associate with Converse now, and I'm sure I'm not alone in this. Not only that, but the style is too old fashioned. I like grungy/antique-style in fashion, but this is just plain old. We've come a long way, in terms of shoes, so why go back on ourselves? Saying that, the shoe that uber_noob posted is nice. First one I've liked. Edited November 27, 2005 by y0sh

First one I've liked. 586860290[/snapback] I kinda agree with you there. Converse is the "emo/punk/goth" and indie equivalent of Reebok/Nike/Addidas for chavs- "hey respect me 'cos I got X brand all over my clothes". 'Some' of the emo/punk/goth types think that they're cool for their unique style, going against high street and catwalk styles. But they all look the same! Personally I do like the style so I have a pair of v. cheap shoes that are basically like fakes....no flipping Converse branding all over them. They only get worn with jeans though (that aren't half way down my ass). I think they look ridiculous when put with shorts/skirts :x
