User6060
I don't know about this particular camera but I think Canon makes pretty good cameras.
Pink Floyd Veteran Posted December 3, 2005 Veteran Share Posted December 3, 2005 in his category (SLR-Like) this is known to be one of the best choice I recommand this Canon but also have a look at this comparison

Galley
I've got the Panasonic DMC-FZ20; it should be similar in price to the Canon.

bryan001
Thanks for the suggestions guys. Is 5 Mpixel enough or would I be better off to get 7 Mpixel instead? With 5 Mpixel what size of prints can I make and still maintain good quality?
Pink Floyd Veteran Posted December 4, 2005 Veteran Share Posted December 4, 2005 8x10 is probably the most you will get unless you do a lot of big size, 5MP is enough for exemple: Rebel XT is 8MP and Nikon D50 is 6.3 and they are equivalent even if some sites say D50 makes slightly better image. So megapixel isnt all..
Galley
Rather than concentrating on the megapixel rating, you should be looking at the optics. The only way to do that is to read reviews. http://www.dpreview.com/ http://www.steves-digicams.com/ http://www.imaging-resource.com/
Lan88
I'd recommend the S2IS over the Fz5( the one that i currently own ), but thats only if you're willing to spend abit more. the S2IS is a bad-a$$ camera if you ask me.
