Phatm1ke
Hi Tux, how do you have your drives set up Master/slave IDE 0/1 etc? I had a similar problem on my older PC where it would write cd's but wouldn't read them, If I logged out and back in it would work for a short while. I had 2 hard drives and 2 cd drives (1 cdrw), they was set up 2HDD on IDE 0 and 2 CD drives on IDE 1 I changed it to 1hdd and cd drive on each IDE channel (hdd mast, cd rom slave). Another thing to check is the jumpers, make sure that there are no conflicts like both drives set to master on the same IDE channel. let me know if this helps.
