I use FP 2000 and I dont like it. So I m looking for suggestions for my making another site. Any other tools are appreciated.

FrontPage is an absolutely useless piece of cack, did you know that around 60% of the HTML it generates is useless code? Dreamweaver all the way, fast, efficient WYSIWYG coding (even has a little option called "Clean up Microsoft Frontpage HTML" :D) for those bulk tasks, with a colour-coded text editor for those like myself who like to hand-code the rest.

Thanks for the nice comments. This is what I noticed about most of these programs, the end result all depends on the skills of the designer himself/herself. The program you use will only take you so far in creating the ultimate site.

DW has an option to clean up FP code? :) Guess MS should include an option to create DW code lol. That would really be good :ponder:

Cheers!

hmmm, I ll have to check it out, However I see that FP is more UF (user friendly) with all the built in options, however you gotta get a host that supports FP extensions. I looked at DW the other day on the other hand and it looked kinda skinny.

hmmmmm

deciesions deciesions..

Oh by the ways whats up with my signature?

lol

For most work, I use 1st Page 2000.

But I also do FrontPage 2000, and love it.

(I'm no HTML newbie, but I need the Word-like UI and spellchecker for a lot of text, and don't do PHP, ASP, etc.)

I use context (we could say it's like VI for windows, you gotta try that software).

And, at work, I use dreamweaver MX for Windows on ME and XP. It's good, tough it always crashed.

I used FP for like, 1 week... I hated that program. Too slow, too much useless code, too buggy.

Notepad is your friend.

Take a look at what you can do with that:

- - = = = O L Y M P U $ E R V E R = = = - -

ok, I'm sur of you will say that it is like neowin. Yes, it have some feature like it, but it is under construction so what you see is far from the final result

Macromedia Fireworks is not even a HTML Editor! Its used to create slick graphics etc for Macromedia DreamWeaver, which IS Macromedia's program for HTML Editing...

I use:

Microsoft FrontPage 2000 & 2002 (yeah, both!)

Macromedia DreamWeaver 4.0 and now MX

Good Old Notepad for heavy code!
