I come here with an important decision. I have JUST enough $$ for a Nintendo DS w/ Mario Kart. HOWEVER this money was originally planned for a Mac Mini in the next couple months. So should I get a Nintendo DS since it is so cool or use my $160 towards a Mac Mini. All Holiday $$ is going towards the mac mini just for you to know...

Then the Mac Mini brings on weither to get a PPC one or a 1stG, or 2ndG MacTel but thats for another poll later. :p

Vote. :woot:

yeah. if you can make the money rather quick, get the DS w/ mario kart, and then scrounge up some more money for the mac mini.

but otherwise, if money is hard to come by, and you only want one game, hold it back for the mac mini.

Keep in mind that if you want extra oomph for your Mac Mini it wil cost, if anyone Uk side has seen the Gadget show you,ll know what I mean.. else get the Ds

Mac Mini - Cool, plus Osx etc , but will cost more in upgrades etc

DS - Cool, Mario kart, but also more $$ on games

I say you save your pennies for the intel mac mini which will hopefully be coming around in January. I think it's better purchase. You will get more out of the mac than the DS.

Mac Mini... o.O

Hey, you compare a little DS (Witch is a N64 handled with 2 Screens) to a full operational Mac Computer...

I don't know but it's like to compare the taste of an apple with an orange...

Nintendo DS, play little games anywhere

MacMini, Play stuff like Unreal 2004, listen DVD, MP3, browse the Net, Chat, do your homework...

Well if I did get the DS I would have to rely on $500 for the holidays and my b-day. While yes I have gotten that much + more in recent years I don't think I will this year.

Perhaps you should tell us or find out yourself, what you plan to use either for. i.e. If you had a PC, maybe you'd be just as happy switching to Linux :/ Have you had portable consoles in the past, where would you plan to use it, or is this more of a fad?

It totally depends on what config you have currently. If you have a decent computer and can wait till the Intel based macs come up you can save the money till then or go for a Nintendo DS. If your config has gone old n all and you are in need of a computer fo for Mac Mini (common sense :p ). I voted for Mac Mini though.

Woot Woot ... this is my 100th post in Neowin :woot:

Well I got the DS... for these reasons....

-I will still save up for the mac mini(obviously will wait for the intels) and will probobly wait till 2G MacTels giving me time to save up.
