kaffra
Hi ill be switching to dsl soon :( the problem is, there seems to be a lot of interface to the computer, namely usb,tru netcard or pci so my question is does it matter among the conection types? Is there a performance advantage to using it?(like external to winmodem times) its for a desktop, using winxp.

aco Veteran Posted July 30, 2002 Veteran Share Posted July 30, 2002 I have to disagree, it all depends on what speed your DSL plan is. If you have a 256/512/768Kbit plan, a USB connection would work just as well and you won't need a power cord, transformer and it won't take up a power point. On the other hand, if your DSL plan is uncapped and runs at a few megabits then go for the NIC.
