Disable php in one directory

my site is running on a php fully functional server. However, i want one of my directories (like /test) to be a "quarantine" zone, where no code is allowed to execute(html only), and follow accept particular file extension(like .html only). Is that possible? If so, how should i configure it?

Use your .htaccess file and look at the AddType function - this will let you specify .php documents to be parsed as just .html pages.
