IBM NotesBuddy is wonderfull, but I don't know if it's able to open your emails in outlook. It is able to: - Announce important new mail by voice, pager, or display - Instant messaging and buddy status - Work with Lotus Notes and POP3 mail - Filter important email based on names or keywords - Send voice messages - Minmize in Systray & ... 0 Qwakui
I have used POPbox for years. It's tiny and extremely simple. The whole thing resides in a single executable file. It checks one or more POP3 accounts at given intervals, and can notify with a sound and/or dialog box showing sender, subject, and if elected a few lines from the message. This dialog has a close button, a preview button, and an open button (which can be configured to launch Outlook Express or any other e-mail program). It can also search for certain words in the header and respond differently to those messages (including running any program). As much as I adore this program, I cannot for the life of me find it anywhere. I have the executable file with no documentation, and it is hacked to have the same icons at Outlook Express 6. If you would like, I could e-mail it to you.

0 bmetelsky
I've tried many. The best I've found, and the one I continue to use today, is mailtap. It's free, it's small, it has lots of functions. You can find it at www.iwondercompany.com. Give it a try!
