Hellafax
Um...Do you have an onboard video card? Your lost 32MB probably went to that.
Evolution
Either your bios has a problem, the onboard video card took it, or you have bad ram :(
H1REN
i have onboard sound and video (new mobo) video mem is 32mb (it could be my lost mem) but it should display how much ram i have where can i find that?
.....
video mem is 32mb thats where it's gone, the bios can allocate an ammount of ram set to the video card the ram is shown as less, as the bios takes it as soon as the pc starts, so effectively its video ram, not ram anymore
Xahid
Originally posted by thankihiren video mem is 32mb (it could be my lost mem) Yea it is !!! but it should display how much ram i havewhere can i find that? you can't find anywhere the total amount of RAM. Just add the On Board Vid. mem 32MB in ur main RAM 224MB. Simple.

.....
i'd reccommend getting another 256 meg ram, or if you have the money, 512 imho 768 is the sweet spot for systems nowadays (even tho im running a gig, lol)

Running most games I don't think I've ever reached more than 350mb used. But still, it never hurts to have more... ;)
DrunkenMaster
Gives some new meaning to "more for less...." Instead you just got the opposite ;)
iCe_2x
Instead of buying some more ram..Buy a New Video card..onboard video sucks...:ermm:
mr.dan
this happens frequently with all types of hardware, mostly harddrives.

BrendanWOR
768? Nobody really needs that much, unless you do (as was already said) video editing and other particular multimedia-type stuff.
Steven
32 mb ONBOARD... dude turn that shiznit off, and get a 32MB VIDEO Card. :)
Arch
Go for a 64mb video card, if you decide to upgrade. They don't cost much more than the 32mb and can display much nicer textures in most new games. Personaly I'm waiting a while to upgrade, especialy with DX9 comming out soon and all the new inovations that come with it.
