badall
thinking about updateing my grafix card and came across the review for the ati 9000. it's seems good for a card of it's type about ?90 - ?150 trouble is my sysem is a little out of date and i'm doing a full upgrade next year when i have enough money too do so. i mainly play games like medal of honor & jedi knight and would like too be able too run unreal tournement at a half decent speed. my current spec is: win xp athlon t-bird 1 gig 512mb sdram @ 133 abit kt7a creative geforce 2 gts 32mb ddr sound blaster live player 1024 hollywood + (hardware dvd decoder) 350 watt psu so would it be a waste of time & money getting the card like there would be no difference in performence because my system is a bottleneck or would i see a noticeable difference with this card ? thanks badall
mAcOdIn Veteran Posted July 30, 2002 Veteran Share Posted July 30, 2002 I would say buy the 9000, since it's cheap, then invest in a ks75a motherboard later since it can use sdr or ddr, and throw everything on it. Then as you save money you can buy a an athlon xp first, then later when you get more money you can buy ddr ram and be pretty much up to date. Then it all starts over again hehe. YahoKa
Get a Geforce 4 Ti 4200. The price difference is like $10 (or up to $80 depending on what manufacturer) and the 4200 kicks it's ass.
