I have heard from reviews and friends that it is very emotional, and that many people cried while watching it, both men and women. So I am curious, did you? Be honest now.

I am going to see the movie tonight, but I was just curious to ask this question beforehand. Never have I seen a movie get such good reviews from both critics and the general public. This movie has a lot of hype and I hope it lives up to it.

Come on, did you honestly think a 50FT Chimp that kidnaps a blonde, tries to rape her, causes damage to a city, kills how many people, would trot back in the forest and have a banana for the good times.?

Ok, I just got back from it. It was an excellent movie with some amazing action sequences, but I did not cry either. I did leave kinda depressed though. They really try to do everything they can to almost 'humanize' Kong in the movie. Overall, it was done well though. Oh, and I watched it with 5 guys and 3 girls, and out of all of them-all 3 girls cried and 1 guy. It was emotional and all, but not THAT sad to me, but a great movie nonetheless.

I was definetely close, had to look away once or twice to 'recover' and I don't care how I'm looked on for saying that because I'm male. They captured his facial expressions perfectly, I felt genuinely sad for him.

its not emitional at all. Its a giant monkey. I almost started crying when i was 2? hours into the movie and it wasnt over. It was waaay to long.

Snap!! I couldn't wait till it finished. I didn't cry probably because I was too busy clock watching to pay attention to the film that I just found to be way to long and boring!

The great ape was played by Andy Serkis. It was done in the same way Golem was done. You can see all the emotion come through perectly. This is no man in a suite job. I didn't cry but I felt sorry for Kong and anger at Carl Denham for bringing him to NY.

Its a great story told in a great way. 5/5

No i didnt cry, but i guess i "came real close". Its mostly because im a bit of an animal lover, and they captured the emotion of him so well that it just makes you sad. I thought it was an excellent movie, well worth the ticket price (unlike alot of other garbage i've seen recently). I say go see it if you havn't already (Y)
