Kanecorp
maybe you got lucky and by mistake they sent you a prototype of the 3.2GHz chip:)
Dan.Varga
nah already switched with another 2.2 chip and it was detected as a 3.2 as well while in another machine it was 2.2 so i know its not that (how i wished it were tho)

sailgreg
I would install an OS and see how it works, and if it is to hot, who knows? It might be 3.2ghz :)

Dan.Varga
oh theres win98 on there and i got wcpuid or somethin like that and its running at 2.2 id just like to know y bios is reading it incorrectly
Steven
its not a 3.2GHz, the FSB is only readin 400MHz, anything after 2.4GHz is all 533FSB. GET A BIOS UPDATE, OR CONTACT THE BOARD MANUFACTURER AND TELL THEM THEY HAVE A BUG IN THEIR BOARD.

Heh o well I know my school is gettin sum P4's but not 2Ghz or more, prolly 1.
Dan.Varga
yea and get this theyve got 80GB hard drives in them....and we use this program deepfreeze which makes it impossible to write to the disk unless ur authorized and have a pw...so at most well be using 3GB
Gromvar
Same thing at my school except their using 1.5ghz p4's with 60gb harddrive and their using that dang DEEPFREEZE.
Dan.Varga
deepfreeze is a nice invention but its not flawless you can get around it if u know what ur doing
v0rt3x
I wouldn't worry about the BIOS reporting it as 3.2 GHz. As long as WCPUID says it's running at 2.2 GHz and 100 FSB, you're fine. You might wanna take a look at the CPU temps just to be safe though.
BrendanWOR
That's cool, I wouldn't wanna delete something like that :D
