It depends on who I am talking to, but generally if I'm speaking to a large group of people I would say Merry Christmas. It's not a matter of respecting other peoples holidays - it's a matter of respecting mine. I say Merry Christmas, they say whatever they want. It's fair that way, and no one should complain.

Merry Christmas here for me in the USA. Everyone has their right to say/believe what they want, this is mine.

On a side note... I chose not to shop for ANY Christmas presents at my local Wal-Mart store. They forbid all employees to say "Merry Christmas" at the risk of losing their job. Boy, would I like to get fired from Wal-Mart (if I worked there) for saying "Merry Christmas" to someone. That would open up a BIG can of worms.

P.S. Let's not forget the REAL reason we celebrate Christmas (those of us who celebrate it).

I celebrate Christmas for the presents, and spending time with family. Thats the real reason, right? :shifty:

That said, I don't think WalMart should specifically forbid their employees from saying Merry Christmas, unless they specifically forbid any type of religious display in any sense or manner. No As-salaam alaykum, no Gut Yontiff, nothing. Not that I really care, simply because if you are going to discriminate, don't hold back. Now, if they wanted me to give a secret Klan handshake to get in...that I'd have a problem with...

In Malaysia they use "Seasons Greetings". I have no idea what that means, but it's less offensive in a Muslim-Majority area.

Any clue what Seasons Greetings is?

Merry Christmas but obviously I have friends of other faiths, or of no faith, who wouldn't be bothered by it though I would prolly just say Happy Holidays to. I don't see it as overly important.
