bkellner
How many people do you know use Bittorrent for legal purposes? At least five million plus. World of Warcraft's patch updater uses a form of bittorrent to download patches. Many open source programs and game patches are released via bittorrent to save site bandwidth. I assume you didn't know that. If you really want to get technical, the update for Azureus uses itself to download it's own updates - which in itself is perfectly legal - so everyone who downloads updates for Azureus through Azuerus, downloads legally. yisman
Well he said it was his computer, not his brothers. I would hate to find that my brother installed any programs on my PC. Who likes to find out that someone installed stuff on their PCs. Exactly. I only install anti-spyware programs on other people's computers. Never anything that might be dangerous. I would be pretty mad if someone installed crap on my computer. Luckily, my computer only gets used with my express permission. I find this guy funny. I hope your brother kicked you in the nuts in return for rushing to conclusions. WTF? I would say someone downloading bittorrent and possibly illegal stuff (probably, in this case) is reason enough for an ass-kicking, figurative or literal. :p That was a low blow. In the southern states, people call Pepsi "Coke." It's the weirdest thing. Yep. He didn't know about how bittorrent works so he was worried, the software in not ilegal, but is sad to know that 90% of people use it for ilegal purposes, it may include his brother, that's why he punished him. the worst part of this, is that he came to this board for help, and people reply with crap and insults.. come on, leave him alone.
