Leadtek A170 TH MyVIVO problem

Recommended Posts

Hi, i have the following problem:

I just got a Leadtek A170 TH MyVIVO graphics gard (GeForce 4MX 440, AGP 4X, 64MB DDR, TV-in+TV-out), and when i test it with 3D MARK 2001SE (build 330) the PC freezes or restarts...

Is it a driver problem (i have 28.32 from Leadtek) ? Do you think i need to reinstall Windows XP ? Can it be done without reinstalling ? Before that card I had a GeForce2 MX installed on my Windows XP...

My specs:

M/B: IWILL KK266

CPU: AMD T-Bird @ 1.2GHz

RAM: 256MB PC133

HDD: 30GB Barracuda ATA III

CD-ROM: TEAC 40X

CD-RW: TEAC 8x8x32

Sound: Creative AUDIGY

OS: Windows XP

Thanks alot.

works like a charm for me with that setup.

do that as a LAST resort.... (i know its a pain but it sometimes fixes alot)

umm try it with the nvidia drivers on the website, then if it still happens try it with the drivers on the cd *i found them to work great too*...

if it still happends, check your bios settings for the video card... maybe you got it on 2x AGP

or u havent enabled fast writes or wotever its called.

basically bump everything up for your AGP card to max, try it again..

then if it dont work wait for more replies to this thread, THEN if no one can help only reinstall then.

if its a simple problem ull kick yourself if u had to reinstall :

It's on AGP 4X Fast-Write

The 4X LED on the graphics card is lit...

Guess it's a problem with WindowsXP... I can't get the advanced properties for my graphics card (you know, the spinning NVIDIA logo and so on...)...

Thanks alot...

Here is the fix to your problem

Get the heatsink of your hard, and push it down really hard to spread the thermal paste

Also try moving it about a bit if you can.

Also, if you have overclocked it, underclock it a little.
