Omeglidan
Why do computer cd drives still use those dam trays, why not have slot loaders as default instead of as an option? Car cd players all use slot loaders, so why do computers still use outdated tray technology. It costs a more, brakes easier, and is just that much more inconvenient. hurting101
And then all those business card CD companies will go out of business. But I do see your point.

Omeglidan
Why does everything always have to be built for the lowest common denominator, if idiots don't know not to do stupid things to their drives why do i have to suffer for it. BTW, mini cd's fit just fine into slot loaders, atleast the few that i've tried.
Weasel
I think slot CD-roms are great. I have one in my lian-li. They should make them optional on vendor systems like dell, I bet a lot of people would go for them. I got an AOPEN 16x slot DVD from newegg for $55 and I LOVE the thing. Here's some beauty shots. Those stupid business card sized CDs are nothing but advertisements and probably cost more to manufacture than a regular cd-r. Does anyone even have a 5.25" disk anymore?? Omeglidan
Also, when I used to work repairing computers, i got many broken trays from people being stupid, appying too much force to them and snaping them off.
