Overburning CD-R's

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know where I can find information about which drives support overburning as well as where I can purchase CD-r's for like 800mb and such?

I have a few movies here that I need to burn to backup and 700mb is just too small.

Try the official Website for Burner Information. (i think all new burners suport it)

I just got a Plextor 40x12x40 so I'm sure it supports it, although the Plextor site emphatically denies support for that feature but anyway.

Where do you live at that you can buy the 99min CD media? I was checking yesterday in the city and none of the stores carry it. Circuit city doesn't, neither does Staples or any of those office supply stores that carry tons of CD-R's.

if your gonna over burn go with an lg drive, they are pretty damn good for it ;)

but be sure to burn movies in mode2. you'll be able to fit more then in mode1, it writes more per sector.
