Caleo Global Moderator Posted December 23, 2005 Global Moderator Share Posted December 23, 2005 It depends on what you're shopping for. Best buy has a ton of electronics/appliances, while a lot of [super] walmarts have groceries and little stuff (cosmetics, health care, pharmacies.. etc) that you can't get at Best Buy. For that reason, I chose walmart, because it's the only one of the two that I have in my town for one reason, and for the fact that walmart usually has lower prices. +Troll Subscriber¹ Posted December 23, 2005 Subscriber¹ Share Posted December 23, 2005 Wal-Mart. I agree with their politics and policies so I support them. Best Buy used to be my favorite store but now they simply annoy me with their commercials and their Geek Squad. Wal-Mart might actually have some things for pretty cheap. Best Buy is almost never the lowest price and you can find it cheaper online.

Funny, I just blogged about this today...
KXH
I am tired so i won't really get into it, but Wal-Mart is destroying america in a way no other company can. Even though we all shop there we shouldn't.

xpablo
Best Buy has better stuff and much more than Wal-Mart, but where I go Best Buy & Wal-Mart are almost next door to eachother, so I can shop for better price. But I also have friend who works at BB and I get him to make the purchases.

y2kboy23
They both are evil places and would rather not give either of them my money but if it came down to it, I would go to Best Buy well before WalMart.

Take a look at the documentary "Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price." I'm quite curious about this, so I'll check this out. Hmm, I prefer Best Buys because they usually have the electronic stuff I need, and I get good discount there because I know some people :p Walmart if I want to go grocery shopping and other stuff. Well that and I work there :) Actually Best Buy sees wal-mart as their main competitor. They are not even worried about circuit city. Both companies (Best Buy and Walmart) are both going at each other hard. Walmart is adding more electronics and even announced BB is their main target. Best Buy is working to mold their stores to customer centricity in a move to be known for the place where you don't only find the product, but everything you need with it including the service. Regardless if I work at Best Buy or not, I have always disagreed with how Walmart operates and, therefore, refuse to shop there. Not to mention there are none in NYC.
