My Windows Vista cant view tranperanly n the latest tweak vista cant open with this build of windows...

pls help me

To force transparency do the following:

1. Click Start, Run.

2. Type "regedit" (without the quotes).

3. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft

4. Create a key called DWM.

5. Inside of that key, create a new DWORD value called EnableMachineCheck, and set it to 0

6. Create another DWORD called Blur, and set that to 0

7. Create another DWORD called Animations and set that to 0.

If you force this glass will most probably run slow since your graphics card isn't fully supported. If it runs fine then you might want to add blur effects and animations. Just set your Blur DWORD to 1 and your animations DWORD to 1.

Hope this helps.

CHRIST does this forum need a spell checker...

Firstly, You shouldn't even be using it if your not an official tester. I could even barely understand what you posted. Also, there is a reason why your card isnt spitting out glass, its probably not a DirectX 9 native video card, and its probably a crappy 32MB onboard..

hm, sorry about that then, you might be able to get glass using those reg hacks, might not be pretty, but its worth a try.

wow from your posts, you seem like a really nice and friendly person.

if this person is or is not an offical tester, why the hell do you care?

usually when i do not understand something, i move on, not make nasty comments.

Perhaps a grammar checker as well.

'Isnt' isn't a word. 'Its' is a possesive form of it. I'm sure you meant it's - the contraction of it is. You should change the order of the words 'even' and 'barely' for better clarity.

Sorry, just trying to use the same measure.

The taskbar can be made transparent with transbar.

And the whole windows can be made transparent - but not just the titlebar.

WB5 does just the toolbar. If you convert a .msstyle of the theme you want to a wb theme, you could probably mod it and make it the perfect tranmsparent. Plus, there's hardly a noticable speed difference. You can even put the window over a visualizer in iTunes and it won't slow down, it's quite fun.

    • Well duh. But it's not their agenda, they just push it forward.
    • Easier to move to Firefox, either Zen Browser or LibreWolf (which includes it by default)
    • People do not care. We are all tourists on this trip called life. So many others thing you can do, should do, then worry about trying to protect data collection. Not using Chrome, the most popular, most compatible and fastest patched browser on the market, because of data collection or some moral/political reason....is a complete waste of time IMHO. But we all get roughly the same amount of time on this trip, feel free to spend yours doing whatever makes you happy.
    • Does anyone know how the Ghostery extension works in Google Chrome? I switched to that quite a while ago, from uBlock Origin after uBlock started having issues just working. Personally I love Ghostery and I think it does a fantastic job, and I really enjoy the whitelist I have built up as well for tons of websites that don't serve ads so that it isn't blocking good elements of them by accident.
