Windows XP 64 is not for consumers. It is for high-end servers and computers running a 64-bit processor, such as the Itanium from Intel.

These processors are about $3,000 each, just for the CPU. XP64 will NOT run on an ordinary Intel or AMD processor, no matter how fast it is, so don't ask if yours will work or ask of there's a patch.

an ATHLON XP Is a 32bit proc. in english its a 32 lane highway.. think how much traffic you can put tha tthrough

a chip like ITANIUM or Clawhammer is a 64 bit proc. in english its a 64 lane highway, think how much traffic you can put that though..

understand? 64 bit is much faster than 32 bit, and can process larger numbers.
