Borbus
I still have Windows 3.1 on floppy disks somewhere, although I never run it. At one point I was dual booting between XP and 98 for SoftIce, but I don't any more.
chopyaedoff
I have MS-DOS 6.0 and Windows 3.1 disks somewher and somewhere on my HDD is a copy of the contents of the floppies for Windows 1.01. The computer that was running 3.1 I threw away a while ago along with a commador 64 (they didn't work.) The specs of that machine were: Windows 3.1 + MS-DOS 6 Intel 386SX - 25MHz Don't know how much RAM 40MB HDD 3 1/2 and 5 1/4 Floppy drives Some sort of intergrated Graphics w/ VGA and EGA outputs I have a fully working machine running Windows 98 (I don't use the computer much now - It's hidden away in corner of the attic - it hasn't been switched on for about 6 months but I was using it when my laptop stopped working and before i built the computer i'm on atm.) The specs of that machine are: Windows 98 Pentium 2 MX - 266MHz 64MB RAM 5.7GB HDD CD-ROM ATI Rage Pro (I think)

paulanthonysamson@hotmail.com
Yeah I do !, I have the one of the first version of windows, windows 2 with all the installation disks and documentaion as well. it runs "on top of" Ms-DOS v6, on a circa 1989 8086 pc with an "eye wateringly small" 20 meg HDD, which incidently is partioned into two 10 meg drives although I hav'nt booted it for some time now, i think the CMOS is dead now. Yeah its a genuine dinosystem allright, but here is the rub, it still takes as long to boot my 2005 desktop system, but arguably it is pretty useless by comparison. But hey on the plus side of things it dont have to many virus. And I have a copy of OS2 that i saved from a skip, but never used it I once tried to install it just to see what it was like and never got past the first screen, too many questions to answer. I wonder if this early version of WINDOWS could be collectable to someone??, ANY OFFERS ?? and yes i know i need to get out more so dont bother with that one ;)
