So do you listen to to full albums in one listening? By a full album I don't mean compilations or greatest hits albums, theres another option for that. Personally, there are only a few albums I can listen to in one go. They are:

The Darkness - One Way Ticket To Hell And Back

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magik

50 Cent - Get Rich Or Die Tryin'

They are the only albums I have been able to listen to all the way through, and I have done so many times.

Most of the albums that I own I have listened to completely and have enjoyed, but then there are some that I haven't listened to completely but I do like one, two or even more songs on them albums!

I work on the premise that just because I like A song by an artist doesn't mean I'm going to like many of the rest of the songs. I only buy albums if I'm sure I'll like at least half the songs on it. Most albums have at least 1 crap track.

none of the options apply to me!!!

I can listen to hours of music, but typically it's all random singles from 30 different artists.

That's option 3 then, probably should have made that one clearer.

I voted for the first option, every new album I get I listen to it in full, unless if I can tell from a certain point it sucks...

I've been listening to They Might Be Giants' most recent album "The Spine" alot, and a few others that I won't bother to post because only 1 or 2 people here would here of them (not certain people, but I listen to alot of music that when I say what I'm listening to they're all "havvah wha?!").

I have two ways I generally listen to music.

1. Is I'll have an album of a band playing and just let it play through, eventually going to the next album in chronological order. I love listening to a bands discography and seeing how they've changed over the years.

2. I'll have a bands discography on random.

As you can see, I'm definately a full album type. I think if you just listen to singles you're only getting a partial experience. I study music very in depth, look for meaning in songs, read lyrics a lot and so forth. I guess if you look at it more or less as just entertainment, like many people do, you'd be more prone to listening to just singles. I think of music more as an art that I will study to the day I die. It fascinates me very much, especially the psychological aspect of it.

If you're one of those people that buys an album and only listens to a few songs off of it because they're the only good ones....maybe you should find better music to listen to? Hahah, I dunno, I can only think of a couple albums that I disliked more than half the songs on there, and I sold them. One was a Lacuna Coil album. Most every album I own I enjoy all the songs from it, or at least 80 - 95% of them. Many bands I own up to 25 albums from and enjoy them all.

Hell, many times I'll have the same album on repeat for over a week on my computer that I play music 24/7 on. Music is always playing in my room, even when I'm not in it. Always bring my mp3 player int he car and hook it up to the stereo. I have many albums I could listen to for months straight and not tire of.
