If you were one of those aussie people in the compaq lawsuit in austrilia..

..u'd be lucky u would get it for a 10 cent per laptop..

I wonder, anyone remember what the verdict in that case that happened few months ago?

I think the verdict was that people who ordered laptop from compaq which was error, showing that laptops are on sale for 10 cents which caused ppls to buy 10 laptop for 10 cent each..

the verdict was that people that ordered 10, more or less or whatever only can get ONE each in that lawsuit..

Anyone know bout that lawsuit or compaq error?:alien:

i saved up my money so i could afford mine. just got it a few weeks ago and many may think its a waste of money. i bought a dell inspiron 8200 with almost all the options. i have built in wireless, geforce4 440, 512 mb ram, 40gb 5400 performance HD, 1.9 ghz p4, ultrasharp uxga 15 inch screen (supports 1600x1200!!), and of course the built in ethernet and phone jacks which are standard. i spent right about $3000 for it, but i think its a decent investment as i plan to use it through college, with programming and 3d software. one of my only complaints is the integrated sound seems to be a little crappy.

Bought mine...

Sure my parents offered, but it feels much better to own then to receive from your parents. Also when your parents buy one... it just shows how independent you are.
