Smoke Free Day 3 - Feeling better

Recommended Posts

Day 1 - hung Over - Happy New Year.

Day 2 - Withdrawl:

I feel like clawing my skin off, some sweats, some dizziness, mostly I just feel like I'm insane, gripping onto some sort of notion that this is all worth it.

I stuck on a 21mg patch 2 hours ago, because yesterday (Day 1 - hung over) was simply that, hung over and no need for a smoke, so I felt it was easy, YAY!, that day one was pretty smooth. Until I couldn't sleep much last night, on and off.

Well, 40 dollars later I have 2 weeks of fake smokes, 2 weeks of nicotine that is pumped into my bloodstream and causes psycho reactions, and insane thoughts, I wonder if Lee Harvy Oswald was quitting smoking at the time?

anyway, gotta run, my hair itches, not my head, my hair.

Day 3 - Feeling Better

Today is much better, I'm even drinking my favorite Tea, and feel wonderful this morning.

despite your wisdom and excellent success on this matter, the only "success" I have had, be it for 2 months, or 8 months (my longest) has been using some sort of quitting assistance. The patch simply makes me crazy for a week or two, then I'm fine. After 6 weeks of the program, I am off the patch as well.

I will continue to use the patch during the program's length.

Either way I refuse to die of Cancer at my own hand, and I refuse to allow my children to think I will as well, this is for them, more than myself.

Thanks for the support!

Keep at it Stone! You can do it!

Another assistance tool, is a shirt I just ordered, had it custom made, just for me. As many of you know my fondness for odd slogan shirts, I made the following below, based on the fact that my Grandmother died of not only throat Cancer, but cirrhosis of the liver, as well as many other self-inflicted problems. The largest factor being smoking, with alcohol being a second. The night she died, she got up from her bed at a hospital/group home, walked outside to smoke a cigarette, and walked back in, fell asleep and never awoke. I love that woman, but I will never be her.

Pack a day at 16 didn't seem so bad, but a pack a day now that I'm 33, ... well, that's the kicker.

A friend of mine goes through 2 and a half a day, I assume he'll undoubtedly get cancer at that rate.

Well done,it's 10 months tomorrow since I quit smoking and it was really easy.If I knew how easy it was gonna be I'd have stopped years ago.Even though I'd been smoking for 20 year I never needed patches and never needed the gum :D

If you keep this up, you can look back in years to come, with your children and their children around you, and be grateful that you knocked the fags on the head.

hehe, it has been 4 days since I also quit smoking :)

I'm trying without any help from chemicals or medicines this time and it seems to be working. Probably because I am thinking about this for some time, don't know.

(Btw, started when I was 16. I'm 31).
