brand
Hello, So, I'm on a quest to add shortcuts to various things to the context menu of my computer. I found this article explaining how to add shortcuts to the my computer context menu... I was mostly wondering if anyone knew of more explorer.exe shortcuts similar to the one listed below: Launching the Printers and Faxes dialog from the run dialog: explorer file:///::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}\::{2227A280-3AEA-1069-A2DE-08002B30309D} Anyone have know more of these "explorer file:///..." shortcuts? Thanks, Matt just found a bunch from loose-screws forum by searching google with the above file:///.... Herby
If you want to use these commands as a context menu item, you'll have to run them with an executable: Explorer.exe /n, /e, ::{208D2C60-3AEA-1069-A2D7-08002B30309D} RunDll32.exe shell32.dll,ShellExec_RunDLL hcp://system/sysinfo/sysinfomain.htm RunDll32.exe shell32.dll,ShellExec_RunDLL shell:Desktop RunDll32.exe shell32.dll,ShellExec_RunDLL "shell:My Pictures" RunDll32.exe shell32.dll,ShellExec_RunDLL is the Run Command, it runs everything with it's associated program and it's caption sensitive (ShellExec_RunDLL)! I use alot of these commands in "Desktop Icons without Text" (Nameless CLSID's with enhanced Context Menu's). chopyaedoff
For accessing any drive: "RunDLL32.exe Shell32,ShellExec_RunDLL X:" (Without the quotes - Replace X: with the letter of your disk drive)
brand
Herby, you seem pretty crazy into this stuff... How could you, for instance, have the control panel as a list item in the context menu of My Computer?
Herby
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}\shell\CP] @="&Control Panel" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}\shell\CP\command] @="Control.exe" This adds the Control Panel to the context menu from My Computer. Edit: It's not possible to add an expanding Control Panel to the context menu if that is what you ment.

That was what I meant, but that little bit there makes this whole process a lot more clear.
