iron2000
Currently using VGA. I've been thinking of going to DVI but I don't really play much games and DVI cables seem so expensive. I've heard it wouldn't do much for a 15" monitor.
Vice
I'm using DVI as it offers superior quality over VGA.
kizzaaa
I'm using DVI as it offers superior quality over VGA. Is there a significant different between VGA and DVI?
SnoopZ
I'm using DVI as it offers superior quality over VGA. Agreed, use DVI if your monitor and graphics card support it. You should see a slightly crisper picture.

Breakthrough
It all depends on the monitor you're using. I don't think you'll notice a huge image quality difference, though...
shihchiun
I'm using VGA right now. I'd use DVI if I had the money, but VGA doesn't look terribly bad either.

kernatch
DVI... why bother converting a digital signal to analogue if it only has to be converted back again. the increase in quality is probably not very noticeable, but there's also stuff like not having to move the picture around so it fits the monitor, etc. etc. it's definitely better than VGA, it's just that it's more expensive to buy a monitor with DVI input. most graphcis cards have DVI output though. Rudy
i had to get a gfx card better than what i needed ( i dont play games ) just to be able to get dual dvi output (instead of one dvi and one vga :pinch:)
n30w1n
It's not true that the difference between DVI and VGA is not noticeable, the difference is huge. But you need a good monitor in order to notice it. Just like you need a good set of speakers to notice a better sound card. DVI makes both CRT and LCD monitors look sharper. Solarix
i use DVI, only because the screen is low and fuzzy on VGA for the monitor i have
kernatch
It's not true that the difference between DVI and VGA is not noticeable, the difference is huge. But you need a good monitor in order to notice it. Just like you need a good set of speakers to notice a better sound card. DVI makes both CRT and LCD monitors look sharper. the fact is AD and DA converters are much better now. it's more likely that the difference will be less noticeable on higher end screens imo. l77Il7H
do everything you can to switch over to dvi! there is no performance difference but you'll have peace of mind. =)
thollian
I say DVI...if you got a 15'' to 17'' lcd...just keep vga...but anything higher then 17'', I say use DVI....I use DVI on my desktop and vga connection when my laptop is hooked up to my 2005FPW....and I can notice a difference in the sharpness and clarity of the 2 connections. SaguratuS
I'm on a 24" Widescreen LCD running at 1920x1200, and I can tell you that there is a massive difference between dvi and vga at these resolutions. DVI is without a doubt the way to go with high-res displays.

Code.Red
VGA, I would use DVI but sadly the monitor I got for christmas doesn't have that plug. Ohwell, there isn't much of a difference (to me) anyway...
GoogleNinja
That's a good question  I would assume DVI.
