iconboy
Ok, im 24 and to be completley honest with you Elections havent meant much to me over the last few years. Ive voted, yes, but i never really gave any thought to it and just voted liberal because like a lot of us it "felt like the right thing to do". Ha! Well now Im gunna put some thought into it. I have to say, that being a liberal dude for so long, it was gunna take a hell of a lot to sway me elsewhere, and it looks like it has happened with all the crap this government has done and the changes they have brought about... err i mean lack thereof. So this election, I thought long and hard about who i am gunna vote for. First off I am NOT gunna vote Liberal this time, thats a give. NOT gunna vote Bloc and the Green Party (no offense) is a throw away vote. So that leaves the NDP and Conservatives. I always thought the conservatives were a little racist and well lets say extreme in their views. While i did consider for just a second that i would vote for them, I dont like the idea of them running things unchecked- So you would think i was gunna vote Liberal right? Nope, Im gunna vote NDP. OK mayeb its also a throw away vote, and in a lot of ways a vote for the NDP is a vote taken away from the Liberals and hence a vote for the conservatives. But you know what? Im not gunna vote for the Liberals out of fear like i did last time! And besides The NDP person in my riding (Beaches, East York, Toronto) won last time and might win again... with my help ofcourse! ;)

Fred Derf Veteran Posted January 11, 2006 Veteran Share Posted January 11, 2006 Don't forget that there are advance polls that make it very easy to vote (I should go look for my Elections Canada card) so there is no excuse for not voting on January 23rd. Advance polls in my region are January 13, 14 and 15th (this coming weekend). I always try to vote in advance to ensure that I vote.

cardboardbox
voting Liberal, they have taken this country's bleak fiscal outlook and turned it around over the years they were in power. Ok.. sooo.. $250,000,000 were misappropriated... its done, it happened, there is nothing we can do about it now. Changing government isn't going to fix it. There will always be scandal and corruption in ANY government. Has anyone actually looked at Stephen Harpers agenda... how much you want to bet we sink back into the fiscal red of the Mulroney era? He can't be trusted. riiiiiight... like he is going to decrease the GST. This is what will happen: Conservatives will get in power, look at the fiscal out, publicaly come out and say the books are a mess and money is misspent or allocated and that they cannot now decrease the GST due to this. Liberals did when they retained power from the conservatives, they were going to scrap it, but looked at the outlook and saw how much it brought in and kept it... Liberals were guilty as well... but we benefited from it, we our one of, if not the best fiscally stable country amonst the g8 nations. I'm voting friday (advanced poll). You need to create a federal anarchist party then. :D Hey, if you can have a federal party dedicated to non-federalism that runs in only one region of the federation (the Bloc) then you can have a federal anarchist party. Perhaps I should choose to vote for the Liberal party instead, yes? The 'Canadian kleptocracy' has a nice ring to it :) Generally speaking, partisan politics do not interest me - or rather, I do not have a vested interest therein. TheNay
Liberals. I don't trust the conservatives and where they will lead our country. Regardless of who ever wins this time it'll be a minority government and wouldn't surprise me if there's another election in a few months, lol.. what a waste this election is, such a waste of taxpayers money. Thanks NDP, Conservatives and Bloc. All I have to say if Conservatives do get in, be prepared for higher taxes, and healthcare cuts  Thats what they're best at. *remember the harris government*

S7R1K3R
I'm voting Conservative only because I want harsher crime laws. Its rediculous how people who commit crimes always get bail and then cause another crime while on bail.

Mr. Golden Deal
*Sigh* I vote for the Green Party not because I'm a pot head, but because the Greens are generally socially liberal and fiscally conservative, which I like, compared the the massive budgets the NDP want to run. Oh, and to all of you people who say "Oh, I want to vote for X but it would be a wasted vote" or whatever... if everyone who thought that actually voted for the damn guys, they'd have a much better representation in parliament.
Deactivated Account
NDP but they don?t stand a chance so I will vote for the liberal?s. NEVER Conservatives and who ever is thinking about voting for the Conservatives think about it... look what the Ontario Conservative Party did to Ontario.. Do you want Canada to turn out like Ontario?? I say NO. the Conservatives are PU**YS they say that they want to stand up for Canada but in-fact they are to scared of GW Bush and that?s why they are saying that they will rethink about sending troops to Iraq because there to scared of GW bush and what do you call that ??? I call it PU**YS.
