My Fellow Canadians: Who are you voting for?

Recommended Posts

I'm going with NDP this time around... An i was thinking about going with the Conservative until steve harper said he was going to cut down the GST... So hell with that. i don't wanna lose any money when votting for someone. An the Liberals can kiss my ass because they where the ones who put the taxes up to 15% in my area when rest of the country is still at 7%... An the other ones.. i don't have a damm clue who and the hell they are.

What are you talking about? He was going to "reduce" the GST which would mean you end up paying "less" for goods and services.

I guess what they are saying, or should i say insinuating is that if the Conservatives were in power when their parents were trying to get into the country they would have cracked down on immigration and controlled how many people came in- ergo limiting how many people come in. Dont get me wrong for the most part i dont think people in the PC party are racists, but a lot of people do.

I happen to be a first generation Canadian. My family came over here in 1974 when I was a year old. The rulling party had nothing to do with our getting here. I have not heard anything official about changes in immigration policies in this campaign. Don't believe everything you hear.

My family had to have a sponsor, marketable skills and money to come here. We don't owe the government anything.

Sorry for this little rant, but....

I'm tired of people who say "Well, there's no one to vote for, so I'm not voting". You have an option you know. It's called spoiling your ballot. Go to polling station, take your ballot and do not mark it, and put it in the box. Jeez, this way your are at least voicing your opinion that you cannot vote for any one becuase you think none of the party's can govern and you can still have the right to complain about the goverment. I feel that if you don't vote, you have no right to comment or complain because your too lazy to voice your opinion on the one day that counts.

Sorry if I offend anyone. It's just annoying, after spending that last 2 years working with my candidate and hearing the same thing all the time.

I'd rather stay at job and doing something constructive than not voting than going there, waste my time and void my vote

my 2 cents

I can respect that.

What bugs me the most is the people that don't go and vote, even to spoil their ballot, then bitch for the next 4 years because they don't like the goverment. I don't think you have the right to complain if you don't want to participate.

Sorry Pink, if you think is directed at you personally, it's not. I do understand the feelings of a lot people and how much they are ****ed at the whole process and goverements that we've had. I just wish more people would get invovled and really make their voice heard. But, on the other hand that may elect us the communist party. But hey that's democracy.

I'd like to see the statistics on complainers vs voters.

Most people I know are getting paid time off (up to 2 hours) on the 23rd to vote. Plus, if you aren't, the polls are open for 12 hours in a day, and unless you are some sort of machine, working 12 hours on a Monday doesn't sound right...
