MSN7 won't login.

Question

I can't get MSN7 to login. It just complains about there is no internet connection. It verified my password over the internet though. Dern thing! Could it be that I am running MSN Messenger 5 and WMP9?

WinXP Pro (Not Corp, no SP1) 2600

I'd try uninstalling Messenger 5 and WMP 9. I'm assuming that MSN7 was working before you installed these programs. Anyways, hope this helps ya'. :)

I have tried v6, v7, and v8! All have the same effect. 8 reports that the passport service is unavailable. But yet I can sign in with MSN Messenger 5 and Windows Messenger 4.6. Any ideas?

I doubt WMP9 has anything to do with it as MSN Explorer seems to be running fine here on my XP comp.

But it's probably the MSN Messenger 5.0 thing. That probably won't work until the final of MSN Messenger 5.0 AND MSN Explorer 8.0 comes out.:disappoin

Thanks for the help. As of now, I feel I have two options.

1) Do not use MSN Explorer.

2) Reformat.

I do know that MSN Explorer is quick to tell me if the password is wrong. But fails to login. MSN Explorer v7 gave me a error code #23, if that means anything. I guess I am going to choose option #1 and simply not use it.
