Neowin would run faster if people just ignored an old thread and repressed the desire to post a reply such as:

Omg this is x-years old. Do a search noob.

i think we should all make a pact never to post just to neowin goes faster.

Well, I was talking about efficiency and constructive critisism, not eternal ignorance of neowin.

My, I wonder what part of their body ppl use nowadays to understand speech.

Ehh it depends on your perspective or point of view or whatever you want to call it.

The way I look at this is that there is a possibility that a few people, or dozens or hundreds will look at this thread and say "Hey, I am not gonna post useless replies anymore." So if hundreds of useless posts could be stopped by a thread I would say this thread wasnt made in "jest".

The way you look at this is "Omg, one more thread among other thousands. Now neowin will run 0.1% slower for x-seconds."

It probably wouldn't run any faster either way, but if people just stopped bumping old threads, I'd be happy. Make old threads read-only after, like, six months of inactivity.

Why?

It prevents new, repeat, threads being made. I just don't see the point.

Well technically if everyone left out some letters from their post the server wouldn't have as much data to send so it would load faster.

wll tchnicly if evry1 lft ot sum ltrs frm thir ost teh srvr wudnt hav mch ata to snd so it wud lod fastr.

See how much space I saved?
