revvo
I don't smoke cigarettes, never did, not even a puff but I occasionally smoke Shisha/Hookah but that's a different class of "smokery" :shifty:
Brandon Live Veteran Posted January 15, 2006 Veteran Share Posted January 15, 2006 Don't smoke, except cigars on special occasions. I think it's disgusting. For example, if I see a girl smoking it's a huge turn-off. I don't really care if people do - that's their decision. I used to live with 4 or 5 smokers (out of 7 of us) so I'm used to being around it and it wasn't a problem 90% of the time (except when one of them would smoke in his room, next to mine). Just don't do it indoors or near me. Or if you're a girl, don't get your hopes up about making out if I see that.
W1cked-J
No I don't. Both parents did but my father died as a result of it almost 8 years ago. My brother and I convinced my mother to quit about a year after his death. I just pray I can keep my children from it too.
Brandon Live Veteran Posted January 15, 2006 Veteran Share Posted January 15, 2006 I dont get it, Americans hate smoking because its bad for your health...but if you look at the life style people live here its really unhealthy. Depends on where you live. Around the Seattle area people are, for the most part, very health conscious.

Metropolis2112
Coffee sucks without cigarettes. And after a good meal, there is no better way to relax than with a good 'ol cancer-stick. Yes they are bad for me but it is so difficult quitting, and I lack willpower. They go well with alcohol and other substances too ;)

Chosen One
Smoking is the nastiest thing anyone could possibly do. And i just saw a commerical for some news thing that every Cigarettre that you smoke takes approx 11mins off your life.. One thing I dont get is why todays youth ever starts smoking with all of the ads and information about how bad they are why they still start smoking..I guess we just got some really stupid people out there. uniacid
I smoke every now and then, maybe 1 to 2 cigs a day if I really get into it, but I'm nothing like my friends or coworkers, smoking half a pack or almost a pack a day, also I'm getting tired of smoking cigs so I'll probably quit, one thing I do prefer though is shisha/hookah smoking, got a local hookah bar here and its awesome :)

Jelly2003
Smoked once.Hated it totally. Never had the urge to try it again. My experience is similar to that, I have only ever smoked maybe 5 or 6 times in my life (on rare occasions), it tastes disgusting and I don't find it relaxing at all, in fact quite the opposite. One thing I experienced recently while in Tasmania (island state of Australia) is that they have outlawed smoking in pubs. It was great! I could go to a pub without breathing in other people's disgusting filth, and was able to leave the pub without smelling like smoke. I think I'd go to pubs much more often if people didn't smoke in them. Apparently my state is also phasing out smoking in pubs so I might get my wish within the next year or so. dyl4n
If you do smoke, please do me a favor and smoke as much as you can so that you die of lung cancer as fast as possible. We have way too many idiots running around in the world we live in and getting rid of these idiots would give us a better future. Everyone knows that smoking causes lung cancer which will eventually kill you. Smoking is a form of suicide that people (for some reason) just seem to overlook. Why not start a poll entitled "Do you try to kill yourself?"?

In Canada, they wanted to ban the use of cigarettes in clubs and bars but I just can't see that happening, but I would however love it!The place would smell better, people would come back with clothes with only a smell of vomit, not also smoke, you can breathe air, no need to go outside. Smoking is a filthy habit!

theyarecomingforyou
Hopefully the UK will soon move to a complete ban with the free vote that is coming up... I dislike going out to pubs as I come back stinking of smoke; if it's that bad just smelling my clothes I can't imagine how bad it would actually be to actually smoke them. rubicant78
I smoke about two packs a day. It's not because I am addicted, it's because I LIKE it. I'll quit when I begin to dislike it which will probably be never. The way I see it, you have one life. Live it how you like. I do respect other's wishes when smoking around them. I'm not an ###### about it. If you do smoke, please do me a favor and smoke as much as you can so that you die of lung cancer as fast as possible. We have way too many idiots running around in the world we live in and getting rid of these idiots would give us a better future. Somebody has a narrow view of the world. Here is a newsflash for those have lived under a shell their whole lives. EVERYTHING causes cancer. Living is the leading cause of death.
WigglesTheFish
I smoked about a pack a day for years before I quit for a few months, five months to be exact, I started back up and now smoke 1/2 pack a day. I started up again not because I needed to smoke, I just enjoy smoking.
