mad_onion
lol no.. "hell" doesnt exist, its a place invented after religion in general to keep people in step, it just doesnt really do its job very well lol. i dont believe in hell but i dont do bad things because im a nice person. on the other hand religious people do it because they are going to get something at the end which is very greedy in my opinion, thats why i dont trust them, at any moment a switch could flick inside their heads that makes them want to kill people. :s also, can ask a religious person why they are sad when another good religious person of the same faith as them dies? is that just a selfish greed to have them back again thats all i can think it is. DirtyLarry Veteran Posted February 17, 2006 Veteran Share Posted February 17, 2006 Pretending it does exist for a second, Nope, I am not afraid of it one bit, especially because of the way this society acts today, I will see almost everyone I know there anyway... And actually how do we know we are not already there?
selphj
If god is perfect, why did he need to reboot the world with the flood? He even said afterwards that he would never do it again - why didn't he make the covenant the first damn time? Oh wait he already tried the whole trust thing with Adam and Eve, his perfect little creations, who ended up learning something and thus were booted. So let's see... How many times will he trust before he gives up? What is the saying, "fool me once..."? It is extremely sound. If god exists, hell does not. That should go without saying to anyone with a rational mind. God's love is infinite. He's not ever fooled. But he gives mankind the choice, to return to Him or not. If you are staying away from God out of guilt thinking you are too far gone, don't worry. He has already accepted you, if you will just go to Him. It's not about fear of hell. It's about having a better and more purposeful life. How sad for a person to believe there is nothing else in life than just going along by yourself and then ceasing to exist. God wants you to have more than that. He let His son die so that you could.
