I'm a webmaster wannabe. I have all kinds of great ideas for websites but I can't design them. I don't know html or php or any of the other stuff. I keep playing with CMS's but when they don't work I can't troubleshoot much, have to post in the forum and hope someone can help. I currently rent a VPS from rapidvps.com and playin around there. I have this done in drupal a a <href="www.shadyspring.net">www.shadyspring.net which is my hometown. Its gonna be like a community portal. But I can never get done with it LOL.

Yep, I own and maintain www.dojoupdate.com but it is for a friend. The initial intentions were for a site of around 5-10 pages for students at this karate school to keep up with activities there. It has grown to over 200 pages in less than three years. It takes up around 5-15 hours a month to maintain, on average. That includes adding new content.

...but it is a lot of fun. Conpared to some sites out there I consider mine to be amateurish, I taught myself HTML so the code isn't really compliant, as long as it works I'm OK with it.

I run a website, it's in my sig - it's a community site for young people sharing stories of how education is changing their lives. We have a conference planned for the spring in Jamaica and we're slowly building up support from some of the corporate giants out there helping fund our growing initiative with a mentor system for young people to come in the near future.

As a Web Developer i've designed and built more than 40 or 50 over the last ten years As for running them, only three.

www.wiredeyes.com - my buisiness websites (shortly to be updated to www2.wiredeyes.com)

www.webclickgo.com - a DIY CMS website creation system FREE setup, try it out.

and

www.brentford-online.com - a community portal for a place I used to live.

I've always been involved with running one site of the other. Only one of my community sites, founded in 2003, is still around. Those from the late 90's are things I'm no longer interested in (one of which was the largest Dungeon Keeper 2 community).

I've also helped out with moderation at many places. But it's not a big part of my life... I'm happy enough just tinkering with my personal site and creating web content (images or whole sites) for friends, family or freelancing :)
