BTW, all you guys are liars. Everyone is afraid of dying...for ****'s sake, soldiers (supposidly heroes) are afraid of dying. I'm scared of death. I am.

You don't have to be afraid of dying, I am not. I feel up untill this point I have lived my life well and have no reason to be scarred of my end. Why do you fear it? Do you fear the unknown? Everyone faces things differently in their lives and there is no reason EVERYONE has to be scarred of the same thing. Are you scarred because you have more you want to do in your life before your days are over? If so then I suggest you get moving and get them done because you never know when your last day is here. Like I said, I myself have accomplished lots of things and do not fear my end. Sure there is more I want to do but if my end comes before that, so be it.

No, I'm not afraid of death, God is allowing me into heaven, and I'm not "religious." "Religion" is man's acts to get to heaven. I do not believe that a holy God will pardon sin. If you've stolen anything, you're a thief and broken the Ten Commandments. If you've dishonored your parents, you've broken the Ten Commandments. Jesus said if anyone looks at a woman to lust for her, he has committed adultery in his heart. (James 2:10-11) I have done all these things and more, and am not deserving of heaven at all. However, I believe that Jesus paid the penalty for my sin that would otherwise damn me to hell. Therefore, I'm not "religious" -- I have faith that Jesus's sacrifice on the cross is sufficient. I cannot "do" anything to convince a holy, sinless God to let me into a sinless heaven, when I myself have sinned.

My biggest fear is lying in my deathbed with a list of regrets. Death itself doesn't scare me too much.

I don't want to die, and when I ponder it I'm not afraid. However, I believe that when the moment occurs if I know that it's coming I will be afraid. I mean like if I was critically wounded or something or was having a heart attack I would be really scared. I think the idea of heaven and hell is great. I can't overcome the logical reasoning in my head which say that it's all a load of crap. 'Doubting Thomas' maybe?

This poll is lame. Most religions don't have a concept of Heaven and Hell, and yet aren't atheist, so the poll is flawed to begin with.

I'm fairly afraid of dying because it would mean I'm not going to be alive any more, and I'm not atheist and I'm not going to Heaven or Hell.

yes, but at least he's practically religious... 99% of religious people are fearfully religious and blindly follow whatever faith they grew up with instead of choosing their own path... and maybe looking at some facts before they believe whatever they believe. ::ahem, cough, Christianity, cough:: pardon me.

Nope, I'm only scared of the lead up to it as in what my family and I go through. For example if I were to dye of old age, I dread that steady decline that a lot of elderly people go through and the stress that puts on my family. Death itself used to scare me but not anymore, it is a very natural thing, and though I'm agnostic, I believe in a soul that exists beyond physical death. Even if that wasn't true, the simple fact that my memory will be perpetuated by my loved ones is very comforting...

I am more scared of the pain that may be involved and not getting everything done that I want to in my life.

I am curious as to what happens and I would like to think that there is some kind of afterlife but it doesn't seem feasible to me. I hate the idea of there being an empty nothing, but if that is what happens I won't know anything about it so it won't really matter.

Im not really scared, because I dont think of it much, but I believe that everything in this life is a loan, you are born with nothing, you use stuff, but you then dont take anything with you... cause your dead... in that "not alive anymore" kind of way, so not really scared
